The latest On Chevrolet’s New Diesel Technology

The 2017 model of the Chevrolet Silverado HD pickup will feature a all-new, patented air intake system.
This clever addition will help boost performance and efficiency with those heavier loads or off roading.

The Silverado is already a robust animal, so the addition of this air system will give a noticeable boost in performance in all types of terrain.

“The 2017 Silverado HD was engineered to provide maximum utility for our customers in even the most extreme situations,” said Eric Stanczak, chief engineer, Silverado HD.

The air intake system works in more or less the same way as the old muscle car system. Cold air is ‘rammed’ into the engine bay along with events in the fender, which also houses a filter, giving a cold and dry air mix to get better efficiency.

The other benefit is that the full scoop is able to separate water droplets from the air in all conditions which will benefit those who regularly experience the mist like spray generated on highways.

In total, the new Chevrolet Silverado HD is shaping up to be a powerful and now efficient beast.
