The Chevrolet Blazer has a long history going back to 1969, first developed to take on the Ford Bronco. Now, the Chevy Blazer is back ‘as an affordable, high-volume entry EV,’ as described by GM president Mark Reuss.
An SS version will be available, most likely to take on the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, with possible dual motors, with more affordable versions featuring a single motor setup. This new vehicle will be part of Chevy’s third-generation EV platform, packing Ultium battery technology. A 800V rapid charger should be available, providing a top up rate of 350kW.
The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer should be available for sale in the US in the first quarter of 2023.
