Porsche To Make Luxury SUV above Cayenne

A new, super duper, all electric SUV is coming from Porsche, based on their Scalable Systems Platform (SSP) architecture or ‘Sports’ variant. This all electric SUV is aiming at the top end of the market, sitting above the Porsche Macan and Porsche Cayenne.

The (SSP) architecture is one of the key components here, providing high-performance electric motors at 800V and 350kW charging. The same setup is likely to be used by Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini.

The new SUV model from Porsche may sit on the SSP Sport architecture, but the Macan and Cayenne will likely include the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture, which willprobably seen first in the Audi Q6 E-tron. All these vehicles being produced at Porsche’s Leipzig plant.
