Jaguar Land Rover Unveils Record Monthly Sales

Last October, the first Land Rover Discovery Sport began its production line.

Right now, the strongest luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover or JLR proudly announced its highest grossing sales in the month of March.

It went up to 6% compared to last year in selling 58,481 vehicles. The JLR that employs 4,750 employees at their Halewood plant in Knowsley.

For Land Rover, they were able to sell up 49,099 vehicle sales which is 13% higher than the previous year.

The Jaguar marque retailed 9,382 vehicles and instantly disposed 2,349 units.

On the onset of the Discovery Sport, they sales of Land Rover went up.

There was also strong sales performance from the Discovery (up 35% on 2014), Range Rover Sport (up 15% on 2014), Range Rover (up 38% on 2014) and Defender (up 58% on 2014) models.

Andy Goss, JLR group sales operations director, said: “Fantastic news for Land Rover this month achieving its strongest ever March sales performance and particularly exciting to see Jaguar Land Rover UK and USA sales significantly up on the prior year.
