Ingenium Diesel Engines for Land Rover Discovery Sport

You can now order units for JLR’s newly out unit.

Land Rover has proclaimed that the Discovery Sport SUV is ready for orders fitted with JLR’s brand new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine range as it is being used to the new Jaguar XR. Prices for the Discovery Sport now start from £30,695 – a £1,670 reduction over the current 2.2-litre diesel powered SUV.

The new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium engine is offered in two states of tune, with either 148bhp or 178bhp available. They replace the 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel in the Discovery Sport, the only engine that was initially offered from launch.

Land Rover has also announced a new flagship HSE Black model will join the range, priced from £41,250. Since the launch of the Discovery Sport, Land Rover has taken more than 6,500 UK orders, with first deliveries of the Ingenium-powered models expected in September.
