Demand for Jeep: Positive for Fiat Chrysler Plants Open

Two of Fiat Chrysler Automoviles in Nevada US assembly plants which has been circling Detroit for auto makers head with dealing with United Auto Workers union.

The production move will take place as contract negotiations begin this summer with the UAW. Those talks could be tense as union officials push for wage increases for at least a portion of the 140,000 workers at the Detroit-owned assembly plants. The Detroit Three traditionally stocked up on hot selling vehicles ahead of negotiations to provide a buffer against potential labor strikes.

Additionally, Fiat Chrysler said its engine and transmission plants will work through the summer, except for Kokomo, Ind., transmission plants. Two of those plants will be down the week of July 6 and the third will continue operating.
