10-Speed Transmission on All Ford F150 Lineup

Last January at 2015 Detroit Auto Show with an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission, the 2017 Ford SVT Raptor F150 made its first entrance as one that will be the leader on the whole entry of Ford F150 lineup.

On the North American International Auto Show in Detroit with the debut of the 2017 Ford SVT Raptor F150, several expectations were handled and some were beyond imagination. One of those expectations were the next generation of Raptor has the same application of the late generation to the body of the new F150 and the new weight saving aluminum body panels on the new car machine.

Beyond expectation level was the 10-speed automatic transmission paired with the SVT-tuned 3.5L EcoBoost V6 compared with the V8 and 6-speed transmission of the latter.

But wait there’s more! The 10-speed automatic transmission from the new Raptor is considered to be just the beginning of the whole new lineup of the next generations to come and giving the high-performance packed SVT version.

Before the grand debut of Ford Raptor 150 happened, there were speculations that the Ford Motor Company and General Motors were brewing a 9-speed transmission for transverse or front wheel drive, all-wheel drive platforms and a 10-speed transmission that is useful for longitudinal vehicles or rear wheel drive, four wheel drive. They were expecting the F150 and the Mustang will get the 10-speed transmission but it went up and beyond when they had the SVT Raptor as the first consumer grade with double digit gears.
