BMW X5 vs Audi Q7 vs Volvo XC90 vs Range Rover Sport: ShowDown.

The majority of Americans are opting for a luxury SUV over a sedan these days as their primary means of transport and with so many models to choose from, the choices aren’t as clear cut as they used to be.

Car and driver put together a review of the best new luxury SUVs to test which is the best overall in the luxury SUV stakes.
The four choices include the BMW X5 xDrive35i, Audi Q7 3.0t, Volvo XC90 and Land Rover Range Rover Sport. All are worthy contenders, with the BMW X5 being the bestselling. The four examples were equally well equipped, the same levels of specification and pricing.

Out of the four, the BMW X5 came in last on the list, being a little more boring than the rest and not as good to drive, which was a surprise. The standouts for the BMW was its engine and its ride due to its comfortable suspension.

The ubiquitous Range Rover has a great exterior and interior, along with its engine, but on the downside, the third row is cramped and the interior is not as good as the others. It is also the most expensive, but has the most off road worthiness. If off-road capabilities are your priority, the Range Rover may be the one, but in other areas the competitors seemed to do better.

The Volvo XC90 came in second, due to its incredibly luxurious and spacious interior and as you would expect, it’s high-level of safety features.
The cabin is extremely roomy and as all the tech. you could possibly need.
Downsides being the engine isn’t as good as some of its competitors.

The number one spot went to the Audi Q7, which is the newest of the bunch on the US market.
It has the best of everything with a luxurious interior with loads of goodies, great handling and a great performing engine.
